These Are the Best Cities to Work in Ontario

Ontario is a beautiful area that has everything from fantastic industry work to incredible food and entertainment and a great quality of life for anyone who wants to move here. Unfortunately, many aren’t sure it’s the right place for them, and they get scared off before finding out how much Ontario has to offer.

These are the best cities to work in this province, and why they’ll change your mind and have you packing to move out here!

Is It Worth Moving Here for Work

There’s no better place to move for work than Ontario! This entire province is full to the brim with industry and work ranging from small businesses to government work, and the average pay is higher than what you’ll see in most areas.

Although the cost of living is high, and homes for sale in Toronto are some of the most expensive in the nation, it’s still worth considering this area. After all, you can always get a roommate or two to make the bills easier to handle!

1. Toronto

It shouldn’t surprise anyone that Toronto is at the top of this list! From the endless entertainment and create jobs to the countless healthcare, tech, and communication roles available, you’ll never run out of options for your next career move. This is an expensive place to live, but it also pays extremely well, and you have a lot to do and see while you’re here!

2. Ottawa

As the nation’s capital, it’s no surprise that Ottawa made this list! This beautiful city is full of government and communication roles while also allowing you to find a gorgeous work-life balance that’s impossible anywhere else.

Although Ottawa is an expensive place to live, it’s nowhere near the most expensive city on this list!

This area is best for someone who wants to work in law, government, communications, or any role that will quickly let them advance their career to the next step.

3. Burlington

Burlington is the smallest city on this list, but it shouldn’t be counted out! From the Royal Botanical Gardens to the countless parks, businesses, and entertainment, this is a beautiful and inspiring place to live.

Although Burlington is one of the lesser-known cities on this list, it has its hands in everything from conservation to entertainment and gives you a chance to feel like you’re part of a community.

How to Score the Best Work

If you’re moving to a new city and want to find the best employer possible, the most important thing to do is get a simple job in the meanwhile. This doesn’t have to be high-paying work. It doesn’t have to be your passion: it simply needs to be a job that will cover your bills so you can afford to dig deeper into the job market.

Make your resume a piece of art by being attentive to details, being clear on what you can do and what your work history is, and having easy-to-contact references that know you on a professional level.

Ottawa is a Dream Come True
